Occupational Therapist (OT)

Unit Information

This is an opportunity to work in an Occupational Therapy unit with a focus on providing exceptional care in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The unit features:

• Number of Beds: 41
• Staffing: Approximately 15-20 therapy staff daily across multiple disciplines (PT, OT, SLP)
• Patient Ratios: Manage a treatment load of up to 6 patients during an 8-hour shift
• Equipment: Familiarity with ESTIM, patient lifts, ADL equipment, gym equipment, and IADLs is preferred
• Electronic Medical Records: Meditech

Job Responsibilities

The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for:

• Conducting patient evaluations and developing personalized treatment plans
• Assisting patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs)
• Ensuring compliance with therapy requirements, tracking time and charges for treatment sessions

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Minimum of 6 months of current acute care Occupational Therapy experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Active licensure in Kansas

Preferred qualifications include:

• Experience in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting
• Lymphedema certification
• Neuro certification or relevant experience
