Occupational Therapist (OT)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our home health team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality therapy services to patients in their homes, focusing on rehabilitation and recovery. This role involves treating a variety of post-acute conditions and requires strong home health experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patients’ needs for occupational therapy.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to enhance patients’ functional abilities.
• Monitor and document patients’ progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and caregivers to support patients’ overall well-being.
• Supervise and provide guidance to rehabilitation aides and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) as required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Occupational Therapy, specifically in home health or home care settings.
• MUST have a valid Occupational Therapy license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Strong understanding of common diagnoses and treatments for post-acute patients.
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload efficiently.

Work Details

• Shift Length: 8 hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• No weekend or holiday requirements.
• Self-scheduling: Therapists can create their own schedules and adjust visit times as needed.
• Dress Code: Any color scrubs or business casual attire.

Primary Service Areas

Candidate will primarily serve patients in the following counties:

• Clark County
• Edgar County
• Effingham County
• Champaign County
• Madison County
