Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Rehab Services team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive evaluations and treatment for patients admitted to the hospital with a strong rehabilitation focus. This position is essential in delivering high-quality care and enhancing patient outcomes.

Unit Profile

• Number of Beds: 24
• Patient Ratios: Workflow is one patient per hour
• Unit Staffing: Includes two Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) per shift and a rehab tech available for 20 hours per week
• Equipment: Access to all necessary lift equipment in a large rehabilitation gym equipped with various therapy apparatus
• Documentation System: Cerner
• Scheduling: Fixed schedule, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Floating Policy: May float to Eckerd Living Center if needed

Position Responsibilities

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations and developing treatment plans for patients
• Implementing therapeutic interventions to enhance patient recovery and rehabilitation
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care
• Documenting progress and outcomes effectively in accordance with facility policies

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred
• Certifications: Valid state Occupational Therapy license and BLS certification required
• Skill Set: Strong ability to evaluate and treat patients with a focus on rehabilitation

Work Environment

This position offers a newly designed rehabilitation gym equipped with a fully functioning kitchen and laundry setup, providing an optimal environment for therapeutic activities. Outdoor therapy sessions are also facilitated to enhance patient experience.
