Occupational Therapist (OT)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) with home health experience to provide exceptional care to our patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of post-acute care and a commitment to improving the quality of life for individuals in a home care setting.

Position Details

• Shift: 8 Hour Days – Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
• Unit Type: Home Health
• Shift Length: 8 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Years of Experience: 1 year required
• Certifications: BLS (AHA) required, along with CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services in a home care environment.
• Treat an average of 8 patients per day, with productivity expectations of a minimum of 6.5 points per hour and typically 3-4 evaluations.
• Oversee and collaborate with a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) who will require supervision.
• Conduct evaluations and create individualized treatment plans that cater to the needs of post-acute patients.
• Utilize effective communication skills with patients and caregivers to promote understanding and adherence to treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Occupational Therapist license.
• Home health and home care experience are essential.
• Effective organizational and self-scheduling skills, with the ability to adapt visit schedules as needed.
• No weekend or holiday work requirements.
• Dress code: Any color scrubs or business casual attire.

Service Areas

The primary service areas include Clark, Edgar, Effingham, Champaign, and Madison County.
