Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and adaptable Travel Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a large, dynamic skilled nursing facility located in Monterey County, CA. The COTA will collaborate with a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide patient-centered care aimed at enhancing functional independence.

Duties

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans for both short-term and long-term residents.
• Communicate effectively with the Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary care team members.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, Medicare guidelines, and applicable regulatory standards.
• Complete documentation in Net Health according to facility standards.

Requirements

• Active OTA License required.
• Experience in skilled nursing facilities is preferred; mentorship is available for candidates with 0-1 year of experience.
• Strong documentation and time-management skills.
• Flexible and collaborative mindset.

Shift Information

Flexible schedule options are available: either Sunday – Thursday or Tuesday – Saturday. Holiday coverage is required.

Minimum Years of Experience

Less than 1 year of relevant experience is acceptable.

Certifications / Requirements

• BLS/BCLS certification is required.
