Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and adaptable Travel Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a skilled nursing facility in Monterey County, CA. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver patient-centered care aimed at enhancing functional independence.

Duties

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans for both short-term and long-term residents.
• Communicate effectively with the Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary care team.
• Ensure compliance with facility policies, Medicare guidelines, and regulatory standards.
• Complete documentation using Net Health as per facility standards.

Requirements

• Active OTA License.
• Preferably, experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (mentorship available for candidates with 0-1 year experience).
• Strong documentation and time-management skills.
• Flexible and collaborative mindset.
• Preference for a Sunday – Thursday or Tuesday – Saturday schedule.

Shift Information

Flex schedule available: Sunday – Thursday or Tuesday – Saturday.

Holiday Coverage

Holiday coverage is required.

Minimum Years of Experience

Less than 1 year preferred.

Certifications / Requirements

• BLS/BCLS certification required.
