Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and adaptable Travel Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a dynamic skilled nursing facility in Monterey County, CA. This role involves working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to deliver patient-centered care focused on enhancing functional independence.

Duties

• Implement occupational therapy treatment plans for short-term and long-term residents.
• Communicate effectively with the Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary care team.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, Medicare guidelines, and regulatory standards.
• Complete documentation in Net Health in accordance with facility standards.

Requirements

• Active OTA License.
• Preferred experience in skilled nursing facilities (mentorship available for those with 0-1 year of experience).
• Strong documentation and time-management skills.
• Flexible and collaborative mindset.
• Preference for a schedule of Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday.

Shift Information

• Flex schedule: Sunday – Thursday or Tuesday – Saturday.
• Holiday coverage required.

Minimum Years of Experience

Less than 1 year.

Certifications / Requirements

• BLS/BCLS certification required.
