Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team in a nursing home setting. The ideal candidate will possess previous experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility and hold a current New York license. This position is full-time, requiring availability on Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Assist occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans.
• Implement therapeutic activities to promote rehabilitation and support patient recovery.
• Document patient progress and provide feedback to the occupational therapist.
• Educate patients and their families about therapeutic techniques and activities.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Valid New York state license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Prior experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility is mandatory.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Shift Information

This position requires a shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including Saturdays.
