Job Description:

Must be competent to proficient in: Abdomen (Aorta, IVC, Liver/Biliary, Pancreas, Spleen, and Renal including both normal and pathology), GYN (breast, ovaries, Adnexa, Uterus, Pelvis including pathology and normal cases, post-menopausal, transvaginal, adult and pediatric), OB (1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester, amniocentesis, complications, biophysical profile, gestational age, placental grading, abnormalities, IGUR, Uterus/Adnexa), various procedures including aspirations, biopsies, drainage, and intraoperative work, Neonatal (congenital anomalies and neonatal head), and Superficial structures (Abdominal wall, breast, focal masses, hematoma, scrotum/testes, thyroid), Vascular (Carotid duplex, segmental pressure studies, upper and lower extremity venous and arterial duplex). Equipment utilized includes Canon i700, Meditech EMR, and Fuji Synapse PACS.

Responsibilities:

• Perform imaging procedures requiring proficiencies in Abdomen, GYN, OB, Neonatal, Superficial structures, and Vascular including various procedures.
• Utilize equipment such as Canon i700, Meditech EMR, and Fuji Synapse PACS in the imaging department.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Must have one contract or more experience and a minimum of 3 years experience as full-time sonographer.
• ARDMS (AB)(OB)(RVT) certification required.
• Active BLS certification – must be AHA Certified.
