Senior Special Procedures Technologist

Position Overview

The Senior Special Procedures Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of specialized procedures and examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires a high level of technical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

• Variable shifts available, including:
• 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• 9:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• On-call duties after hours and every other weekend
• Two weeknights per week

Qualifications

• Education and Experience:
• Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or an equivalent combination of education and related experience (preferred)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent (preferred)
• Three years of technical experience (preferred)
• Experience as a Special Procedures Technologist (preferred)
• Licenses and Certifications:
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification (preferred)
• Radiologic Technology certification (RT) in the state of practice (required)
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor (required)
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification (required)
• Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) certification (required)
• Prevention and Management of Violent Behavior (PVMB), Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM), or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification (required)

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Special Procedures Technologist will be responsible for:

• Conducting specialized imaging procedures, ensuring compliance with safety protocols
• Operating and maintaining imaging equipment
• Preparing patients for procedures, explaining the process, and answering any questions
• Assisting in the development and implementation of departmental protocols
• Collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care
• Staying updated with advancements in imaging technologies and procedures
