MRI Technologist

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated MRI Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will have an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology, and certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is advantageous. The ideal candidate should be proficient in operating the MRI machine efficiently, ensuring patient comfort during the scanning process, and collaborating with physicians to guarantee timely receipt of results. Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to stand for extended periods are required.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility.
• Collaborate with physicians to provide accurate diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans by explaining the procedure to enhance their comfort.
• Insert IVs when necessary for the tests.
• Document all procedures while ensuring the confidentiality of patient information.
• Perform patient care tasks as required.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in MRI technology.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Experience with GE scanners is required.
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center is preferred.
• Certification through the ARRT is mandatory.
• Injection certification is necessary.
• NYS Radiologic Technologist license—candidates must be willing to obtain this after starting.
