MRI Technologist

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our Radiology team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Philips and Siemens MRI equipment and be able to perform a variety of imaging studies for both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Shift Information

• Days: Monday to Friday
• Start Time: 7:30 AM
• Shift Length: 8 hours

Responsibilities

• Conduct MSK, Neuro, and Body MRI scans for patients in clinical and hospital environments.
• Start IVs and perform creatinine draws as necessary.
• Participate in required on-call duties and float between multiple locations as needed.
• Precept or mentor less experienced staff as required by the unit.
• Maintain compliance with department protocols and safety guidelines.
• Document and manage imaging studies using Meditech and Synapse software.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Required Certifications:
  • BLS (American Heart Association)
  • Certified MRI Technologist – ARRT (MR)
  • Medical Radiologic Technologist licensed by the Texas Medical Board (TMB)
• Extensive experience with 1.5T MRI equipment from Philips or Siemens.

Additional Information

• Average number of scans per day: 10
• This position does not require a radiation badge (dosimeter).
• Weekend and holiday call is part of the role.
• Black scrubs are required for this position; scrubs are not provided.
