MRI Technologist

Position Overview

The Lead MRI Technologist collaborates with the Director of Imaging to enhance departmental operations, including leading staff meetings, spearheading training initiatives, implementing process improvements, and coordinating MRI-related events. This role supports research activities in partnership with the contracted research organization and ensures adherence to compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support departmental operations in alignment with the Imaging Director.
  • Facilitate staff meetings and training initiatives for MRI personnel.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance service delivery.
  • Coordinate events related to MRI and research activities.
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with a focus on safety and comfort.
  • Ensure compliance with established standards and regulations.

Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills

  • Understanding of medical procedures and terminology.
  • Strong interpersonal and human relations skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficient in maintaining records and files.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by additional training or education.
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
  • Registered by ARRT in Radiologic Technology.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in MRI, including at least 1 year in a leadership role.

Licensure and Certification

  • Current A.R.R.T. registration in Radiography.
  • Current Radiologic Technologist licensure from the state of Kansas.
  • Certification in CPR/Basic Life Support.
  • Additional certifications may be required depending on the assigned modality.
  • MRI Safety Officer Certification is preferred.
