Job Title: Mammography Technologist

Job Description:

The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing mammograms and related diagnostic procedures in an outpatient clinic setting.

Requirements:

• Required Certs – BLS, ARRT(M)
• High School Graduate or GED equivalent required.
• Medical Radiographer: CA (MRAD:CA) required.
• Basic Life Support – CPR (BLS-CPR) required.
• Satisfactory completion of a formal AMA school of Radiologic Technology or equivalent to an AMA Technologic program required.
• Completion of 40 hours of structured education in Mammography required.
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT (RTR) preferred.
• One (1) year experience as a Radiologic/Mammography Technologist preferred.
• Six (6) months experience in an outpatient environment preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills are essential required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy and physiology for imaging, proper operation of and care of radiology diagnostic equipment, and radiation safety required.
• Medical terminology and familiarity with an electronic practice management system and PACS required.
