Interventional Radiology Technologist

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in interventional radiology procedures and be committed to providing high-quality patient care.

Position Details

• Unit Type: Interventional Radiology (IR)
• Shift Length: 10 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Call Requirements: On-call approximately 8 shifts including 1 weekend every 6 weeks

Key Responsibilities

• Perform all interventional radiology procedures including neuro IR procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists, providing support and assistance during procedures.
• Maintain and operate imaging equipment effectively.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices in imaging.

Qualifications

• Education: ARRT certification required.
• Certifications: BLS (AHA), Certified Cardiac Interventional Radiologic Technologist (CI) preferred; VI or CV certifications are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years prior experience in interventional radiology; neuro IR experience preferred.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with EPIC EMR & PACS systems is preferable; hands-on experience with Siemens and Phillips equipment is a plus.

Work Environment

This position is within a department that features four state-of-the-art imaging rooms, including dedicated neuro IR facilities. The technologist will work regular day shifts.

• Orientation: One to two shifts or as needed for department-specific training.
• Scrub Color/Dress Code: Hospital-provided scrubs.
• Response Time for Call: 30 minutes.
