IR Technologist

Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified and experienced IR Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Interventional Radiology with experience in a fast-paced environment, supporting a variety of procedures.

Job Details

  • Unit Type: Interventional Radiology (IR)
  • Shift Length: 12 hours
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
  • Years of Experience Required: 2 years
  • Required Certifications: ARRT, BLS Certification, Fluoroscopy

Responsibilities

  • Assist in performing interventional radiology procedures including but not limited to peripheral and coronary cases.
  • Utilize appropriate equipment and technology during procedures, including Merge Hemo system.
  • Monitor patient conditions and provide care to critically ill patients throughout procedures.
  • Collaborate with a charge nurse and other medical staff for optimal patient care.
  • Respond to on-call requirements and maintain a response time of approximately 30 minutes.

Skills and Experience

Candidates must have experience with:

  • Coronary procedures
  • Balloon pumps and Impella systems
  • Advanced IR technologies including laser, rotablator, nitric oxide, IVUS, IABP, FFR, and angiojet
  • Merge Hemo system knowledge is a plus

Orientation and Training

New hires will undergo a 1-2 day unit orientation to familiarize themselves with protocols and procedures.
