Electrophysiology Laboratory Technician

Unit Information

Join a dynamic team within the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab. This unit is equipped with two labs and staffed by a dedicated team of 15 professionals. The department focuses on providing high-quality patient care and ensures that all procedures are conducted with precision and care.

General Information

• Location: Salt Lake City, UT
• Type of Staff: RNs and Technicians on Day Shift
• Patient Ratios: Handling 5-9 cases per day
• Equipment Used: Philips System
• Electronic Medical Records: EPIC

Responsibilities

The Electrophysiology Laboratory Technician will assist in the preparation and execution of various electrophysiology procedures, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care. Typical procedures performed include:

• Ablations
• Pacemaker Implantations (PPM)
• Cardiac Device Insertions (PCD)
• Left Atrial Appendage Closure (LAAC)

Qualifications

• Required Skills:
  • Proven knowledge of Electrophysiology procedures
• Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with scrubbing and mapping
• Certifications Required:
  • RT, CVT, RN with RCES Certification
