Electrophysiology Technician

Schedule Details

This position is scheduled from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with one day off during the week. Occasionally, extended hours may be required to complete cases.

Responsibilities

• Conduct electrophysiology procedures including device implantations such as pacemakers (PPM, ICD, Micra) and ablations (Afib, Aflut, WPW, SVT, VT, PVC).
• Perform procedures related to Watchman’s devices, laser lead extractions, and stimulation techniques (Bloom).
• Assist in patient education and procedural preparations.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Electrophysiology.
• Experience with a range of electrophysiology procedures and devices.

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in Cath/IR and Electrophysiology.
• RNs with Cath/IR/EP scrub experience are encouraged to apply.

License and Certification Requirements

• Current ARRT, RCIS, or RCES certification required.
• Current ACLS and BLS certification required.

Floating Requirements

Ability to float between Cath/IR and Electrophysiology departments may be necessary.

Orientation

Orientation includes initial training at a designated location, followed by additional departmental training and virtual Epic training.

Additional Notes

• This is a nicotine-free facility.
• Orientation comprises 8 hours of non-billable time.
• The facility operates on a bi-weekly pay period.
• In case of schedule changes, the facility allows cancellation of one shift per pay period with prior notice.
