Pediatric Echocardiographic Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pediatric Echocardiographic Technologist to deliver high-quality imaging services. The successful candidate will have a strong background in echocardiography, especially with pediatric patients, in a high-acuity and fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum experience of 4 years in echocardiography with at least 1 year of pediatric experience in a high-acuity, fast-paced facility
• Licesure: BLS and either ARDMS (RCDS) or CCI (RCS); ARDMS (RCDS – PE) is preferred

Skills Required

• Experience with pediatric patients aged 0 – 18 years
• Ability to perform high-quality scans on a diverse range of common echo patients
• Strong clinical judgment and quick-thinking skills to determine when to seek support
• Consistent delivery of high-level, quality imaging
• Soft skills: flexibility to float between different settings, self-motivated, and a team player

Patient Types

• Coronary artery disease (CAD)
• Hypertension
• Post TAVR
• Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)
• Pediatric patients (typically 2 – 3 per week)

Responsibilities

The technologist will provide support for the adult echocardiography team during downtime and may need to assist in an outpatient clinic across the community.

Work Schedule

• Shift: Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm
• Weekend rotation: None
• Holiday expectations: 1-2 per contract

Equipment and Technology

• Experience with Epic electronic medical record system preferred
• Cannon ultrasound unit experience is preferred for clinic settings
• Philips equipment utilized in the hospital

Location

This position is based in Yakima, WA, with responsibilities that may require traveling between multiple locations within the region.
