CT Technologist

Shift Information

Friday – Sunday, 7 PM – 7:30 AM EST. Additional on-call responsibilities may include callback and holiday coverage as needed per unit requirements.

Location

Operating in a facility located in the vicinity of City, State.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and verify exam details prior to commencing scans, adhering strictly to department policies for patient safety.
• Coordinate with physicians to facilitate diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and clearly explain procedures to ensure their comfort.
• Insert IVs as necessary for the tests.
• Position patients safely, which may involve lifting or moving patients with limited mobility, while adhering to safe patient handling protocols.
• Document all relevant patient information accurately in EPIC, including identifying images and ensuring they are appropriately uploaded to the PACS system post-exam.
• Maintain a clean and safe scanning environment.

Requirements

• Current registration in New York State as a Healthcare Professional (HCP) with injection therapy certification required upon submission.
• Completion of formal training in an accredited School of Radiologic Technology and certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• New York State licensure, obtained prior to starting the position.
• Minimum of two years of experience.
• Experience in Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications

• Preferred injection certification, with a willingness to complete during the orientation process.
• Experience with Philips and Siemens imaging equipment is preferable.
