Acute Care Nurse

Job Summary

An Acute Care Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients with acute medical conditions. This position requires a skilled professional who can adapt to fast-paced environments and deliver effective patient monitoring and treatment.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient health status, including vital signs and symptoms
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions and necessary care
• Document patient care and progress in accordance with established policies
• Respond to medical emergencies and assist with life-saving procedures

Qualifications

• Current nursing license in the state of practice
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Experience in acute care settings is highly desirable
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
