Job Title

CT Technologist – Full Time Nights

City/State: Lancaster, Ohio

Shift: Nights 4-10’s (7:30PM to 6AM), Monday-Thursday – No Weekends

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description:

The CT Technologist performs diagnostic CT examinations and assists physicians with invasive CT procedures. Prepares examinations for interpretation, maintains radiation safety and assists with maintaining supplies.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs and documents diagnostic CT examinations upon the order of an approved healthcare provider.
  • Performs appropriate handoff and continuity of care communication to the next caregiver.
  • Analyzes CT examinations for quality control purposes.
  • Prepares completed examinations for interpretation by the radiologist.
  • Operates all CT and related equipment.
  • Operates all facility-based computer systems.
  • Administers oral and intravenous contrast media under the direction of physician/per protocol.
  • Transports, moves and positions patients in a safe and appropriate fashion.
  • Assists physicians with special procedures involving the use of CT.
  • Participates in quality assurance / quality control activities as related to CT.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree in Radiologic Technology from an AMA-approved school.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in radiography and CT.
  • Maintains licensure requirements with the state of Ohio.
  • Maintains annual CPR certification/When Seconds Count certification.
  • Two years minimum experience in a diagnostic imaging setting preferred.
  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
