Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab / IR Technologist for this opportunity. The ideal candidate will have experience working at a Level 1 Trauma Center. Cardiovascular Intervention includes the specialties of Interventional Cardiology, Interventional Neurology, Interventional Radiology, and Electrophysiology. The candidate for this position will be trained in all of these specialties.

Responsibilities:

• Verify patient identification and signed procedural consent.
• Monitor and record vital signs, assess distal pulses pre and post procedure.
• Prepare the access site with required sterile drapes and covers.
• Select and operate the automatic contrast injector.
• Prepare or assist in administering injectable medications.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Scrub with the physician using sterile and aseptic technique.
• Advocate for radiation safety and protection.
• Acquire and process digital images and perform 3D image reconstructions.
• Assist with ultrasound guidance for vascular access or organ access/biopsy.
• Monitor and record all procedural data.
• Provide patient post-procedural care.
• Provide practical instruction for students and partners.

Requirements:

• Graduate of accredited radiology program.
• IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required.
• ARRT(R) required.
• ARRT(VI) or ARRT(CI) required.
• BLS required.
• ACLS required.
• PALS required.
• NIHSS certification required.
