Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team in the Bariatric Medical/Surgical department. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, support surgical procedures, and work collaboratively with our healthcare team.

Unit Information

Location: 3rd Floor by elevators A and B, City, State

Number of Beds: 34

Number of Staff: 56

Shift Details

• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Weekend Commitment: 4 weekend shifts required
• Call Requirements: Available overtime shifts

Patient Care Information

Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 6 patients

Type of Equipment Used: Wound vac, Trach, suction devices, Plum 360 IV Pumps, Covidien Kangaroo ePump, Kendall SCD

EMR System: Meditech

Qualifications

Must Have:

• BLS certification
• Experience with starting IVs, Foley insertion/management, NGT insertion/management, colostomy system exchange, and drain management (JP, Hemovac, Wound Vac)

Preferred Skills:

• Chest tube management
• Port a Cath access and de-access competency

• Wound care
• Tube feedings
