This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in a Telemetry/Medical Surgical Unit. The role involves working on a night shift schedule with a commitment of 36 hours per week.

Shift Information

• Unit: Telemetry
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Shift: Nights
• Every other weekend required

Unit Overview

• Unit Location: 7 West, 7 East, 5 East
• Type of Care: Medical Surgical with telemetry components
• Number of Beds: 60
• Patient Population: Primarily adults with limited pediatric cases (1-5 per year)
• Staffing Ratio: 5:1

Common Patient Diagnoses

• Post-surgical care
• Diabetes management
• Heart failure
• Hypertension
• Weakness
• Cancer treatment

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• BLS Certification is required
• Must have a positive attitude and work well in a team setting
• Ability to care for diverse patient populations

Technical Skills

• Experience with Epic EMR
• Knowledge of Alaris IV pumps

Additional Notes

The candidate should be prepared to float to other units as needed. Compliance with the fingernail policy (no artificial nails) is required. A driver’s license is necessary for verification of distance from the facility.
