Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

General Information

This position involves working within a multi-specialty environment including General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Urology, Dermatology, and Bariatrics/Weight Management. The clinic operates from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Minimum Experience

• 2 years of Dermatology experience is required.

Patient Types

Outpatient care in General Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Urology, Dermatology, and Bariatrics/Weight Management.

Required Certifications

• LPN: Basic Life Support (BLS)

Education Requirements

• Completion of a nursing education program approved by a board of nursing; Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required.

Skills Required

• Basic nursing knowledge with a strong emphasis on Dermatology.
• Scribing experience is mandatory; familiarity with dermatological terminology, dot phrases, and skin examinations is essential.

Support on the Unit

• CNA: 1 per unit available for support.
• The unit includes a dedicated charge nurse.
• The clinic has its own lab department for phlebotomy services.

Charting System

EPIC documentation system.

Floating

Floating will occur within the department only, as Advanced Practice Providers (APP) will make hospital rounds.

Orientation

Orientation duration is dependent on specialty, averaging 3-4 days.

Scheduling

• Weekend rotation: Not applicable.
• No call requirements.
• Approval of time off will be handled by the supervisor.

Available Time Off

Time off is approved for the dates of July 20 – 31.
