Job Description:

The Histotechnician is responsible for routine histology procedures including embedding, microtomy, immunohistochemistry, special stains, and digital pathology. This role requires attention to detail and effective coordination with laboratory staff.

Responsibilities:

• Perform routine histology techniques such as embed and microtomy.
• Conduct immunohistochemistry and special stains.
• Utilize digital pathology systems.
• Ensure specimens are accurately processed and tracked using Epic Beaker.

Requirements:

• BLS (AHA) certification.
• HT (Histotechnician) or HLT (Histotechnologist) Certification through ASCP.
• Minimum 2 years of experience; 3 years preferred.
• Associates degree preferred.
