Job Description:

Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the surgical technologist assists in the delivery of patient care as a member of the surgical team and assumes appropriate responsibility for delivery of that care before, during, and after surgery.

Responsibilities:

• Participates and implements age-specific care and interaction.
• Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical errors.
• Provides a sterile atmosphere before and during all surgical procedures.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary environment before, during, and after all procedures.
