Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our Surgical Services team in Portsmouth, NH. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in surgical settings and be committed to providing excellent patient care.

Unit Information

• Number of OR Suites: 7
• Staff Composition: RN, CST, CST/FA, Orderlies
• EMR: Meditech

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures across various specialties, including orthopedics, general surgery, ENT, GYN, plastics, neurosurgery, robotics, podiatry, and dental.
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure effective patient care and safety.
• Ensure all instruments and supplies are available and functioning correctly.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification.
• Must have a valid BLS certification.
• Must possess a New Hampshire Med Tech License.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital surgical setting.
• Ability to scrub for most surgical specialties.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in orthopedics, including totals and trauma.
• Exposure to neurosurgery and robotic surgery.

Work Schedule

This position requires availability for rotating weekends and holidays, as well as the ability to participate in on-call rotations.
