Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit Information

Location: Derry, NH

• Number of OR Rooms: 4
• Staffing: 5 Registered Nurses (RNs), 6 Surgical Technologists (STs), with 4 as First Assists
• Shifts:
  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
  • Night Shift: On Call from 3:30 PM – 7:00 AM (Monday – Friday)
• Types of Procedures: Robotic, Orthopedic, Total Joint, ENT, GYN, General, Bariatric, Podiatry, etc.
• EMR System: Meditech
• Awards: CNOR strong certification for 3 consecutive years; recognized as a Unit of Distinction in 2019
• Certifications: Joint Commission certified in both Knee and Hip procedures

Position Overview

Core Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the operating room setting.
• Assist in a variety of surgical procedures, demonstrating expertise in both robotic and conventional techniques.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in unit quality improvement initiatives and adhere to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Required:
  • BLS Certification
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital setting
  • Active nursing license in New Hampshire at the time of submission
• Preferred:
  • Experience with scrub procedures
  • CNOR certification

Additional Information

• Dress Code: Grey scrubs provided and laundered by the facility
• Weekend and On-Call Requirements: Rotate every 5-6 weekends; one on-call evening per week
