Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Technician to join our team. This position involves working in a dynamic environment with a diverse range of surgical cases. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to patient care and a collaborative spirit.

Shift Details

• Shift Length: 10 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Schedule: 4×10, variable days (Monday to Friday) with start times of 6:30 AM, 9:00 AM, or 11:00 AM.

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Operating Room (OR)
• Number of Suites: 22, capable of accommodating 26 on three different floors
• Average Number of Cases Per Day: 50-65

Responsibilities

The OR Tech will be expected to:

• Assist during surgical procedures across multiple specialties including GYN, Urology, Vascular, Plastic, Orthopedic, Neuro, Cardiovascular, and General surgeries.
• Demonstrate proficiency in scrubbing techniques with a focus on complex and large cases.
• Utilize the Davinci Xi surgical system for various surgical procedures.
• Participate in educational opportunities and team meetings regularly scheduled on Tuesdays and Fridays.

Qualifications

• Years of Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a surgical tech role.
• Required Certifications: BLS Certification and valid Washington State license.
• Experience with Specific Cases: Must have experience in ENT procedures, including FESS, septoplasty, and tympanoplasty, along with soft tissue surgeries like thyroid and parathyroid.

Additional Information

• Participants in the orientation must bring their own earphones for online training.
• Call requirements include 1 call per four-week schedule, including both weeknight and weekend shifts.
• Scrubs are provided in teal.
• New hires will undergo a comprehensive unit-specific orientation with HR and OR leadership.
