Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and certified Surgical Technologist to join our Operating Room team. This role is pivotal in facilitating surgical procedures and ensuring optimal patient care. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary certifications and experience to support our surgical staff effectively.

Job Details

• Unit Type: Operating Room (OR)
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years
• Required Certifications:
  • BLS (AHA)
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA
• Shift Notes: 7 AM – 7 PM, Friday through Sunday
• Orientation: Clinicians must be in state for a week of orientation, even if some modules are remote.
• Location: Within a 60-mile radius

• Average Cases per Day: 37
• Common Surgical Cases:
  • Orthopedic Trauma/Joints
  • Robotics
  • Neuro/Spine
  • Plastics
  • ENT
  • Urology
  • LV1 Trauma
• Required Skills: Experience with Robotics and Trauma preferred.
• Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Available 24/7
• Self-Scheduling: Mostly self-scheduling, generally no block scheduling.

Additional Requirements

• Weeknight Call Requirements: Yes, 3-4 shifts every 6 weeks.
• Weekend Call Requirements: No, unless additional assistance is needed.
• Holiday Call Requirements: Yes.
• Call Response Time: 2 hours.
• Floating Requirements: No floating within facility; if needed, may float within Zone 3.
• Dress Code: Blue surgical scrubs provided.
• Unit Specific Orientation: 2 days.
