Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)

Job Description

We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our team. This is a travel position requiring a highly skilled individual to support surgical procedures across various specialties.

Schedule

• 32 hours per week
• Four 8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday
• Shift times: 0645 – 1515
• Rotating day off

On Call Expectations

• Approximately 8 days per month of on-call duty
• Weekend on-call rotation: 1 weekend per month, from Friday 1515 to Monday 0645
• Weekday on-call: Starting at the end of the shift (1515) until 0645 the following morning
• Holiday on-call: 24-hour coverage from 0700 to 0700

Responsibilities

The CST will assist in a variety of surgical procedures, which include:

• Orthopedic surgeries: total joints, sports injuries, trauma
• General surgeries: colectomies, gallbladder surgeries with intraoperative cholangiography, hernias, and mastectomies
• Urology procedures
• Gastrointestinal surgeries: upper and lower endoscopies
• Gynecology procedures and cesarean sections
• Cataract surgeries

Qualifications

• National certification (NBSTSA or NCCT) required
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Tdap vaccination is required and must be maintained (expires every 10 years)
• Vision assessment must be completed during the physical exam
• N95 mask fit test is required
• TB IGRA blood test must be completed within 30 days of hire date (QFT or T-SPOT)
