Operating Room Technician

Job Description

An opportunity is currently available for an experienced Operating Room Technician to join a dynamic team in a fast-paced operating room environment.

Shift Information

• Shift Length: 10 hours
• Schedule: Variable days (Monday – Friday) with start times at 6:30 AM, 9:00 AM, or 11:00 AM
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Call Requirements: Weeknight call from the end of shift until 7 AM next morning; weekend call is 24 hours (7 AM to 7 AM)

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Operating Room (OR)
• Number of Surgical Suites: 22, with capability to expand to 26
• Average Cases Per Day: 50-65

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of OR Technician experience required
• BLS Certification required
• Must possess a valid Washington State license at the time of submission
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program
• Cardiac experience is mandatory

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate must have experience in scrubbing for a variety of surgical procedures, including:

• ENT procedures (FESS, septoplasty, cochlear implant, tympanoplasty, laryngectomy)
• Complex general surgery cases (breast, HPB, bariatric, kidney transplants)
• Orthopedic surgeries (total hips/knees)
• Neurosurgery and Cardiovascular surgeries
• Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgeries using Da Vinci Xi system (Gyn, Uro, General)
