Certified Surgical Technician (CST)

Position Description

We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technician (CST) for a travel position in the operating room. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical technology, particularly in robotics.

Job Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: Days (Monday to Thursday), 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Responsibilities

As a Surgical Technician, your key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing the operating room, including setting up surgical equipment, supplies, and solutions.
• Managing the sterile field during surgery and passing instruments, fluids, and supplies to the surgeon.
• Preparing and managing surgical equipment effectively.
• Performing counts of sponges and supplies to prevent foreign retained objects.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technician.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or American Red Cross.
• Experience with robotic surgeries is required.
• Successful completion of a CAAHEP-accredited surgical technology program or an equivalent program.
• Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting is necessary.
