Registered Respiratory Therapist

Shift Information

Evenings – 32 hours per week, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, with every other weekend and holiday required.

Minimum Experience

1 year of relevant experience is required.

Certifications and Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials
• Ohio Respiratory Care license

Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for delivering respiratory therapy services as prescribed by a provider order. This position requires strong clinical skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.

Mandatory Qualifications

• Must hold an RRT certification (CRT certification is not acceptable).
• Active Ohio respiratory care license is required.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association only.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This role may require intermittent sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulation throughout the day. Candidates should be able to sit or stand for extended periods. The position also requires the ability to:

• See within the normal visual range, with or without correction.
• Hear within the normal audio range, with or without correction.
• Demonstrate finger dexterity for operating office equipment.
• Lifting up to 25 pounds on occasion.
• Communicate effectively in person, via phone, and through email.
• Engage with computer monitors and departmental documents.

Candidates should be prepared for some exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, and chemicals.
