Job Overview

Seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist to provide exceptional care in various departments within a critical access hospital. This position involves working on a day shift schedule with the potential for holiday and weekend rotation.

Position Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (07:00 – 19:30)

Qualifications

• Credential: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• License: Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Iowa
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage in multiple departments, including:
• Emergency Room
• Outpatient EKG
• Holter Monitors
• 6-Minute Stress Walks
• Night Oximetry Setup
• Acute Floor Patient Care:
• Administer breathing treatments
• Implement Incentive Spirometry
• Utilize Metered-Dose Inhalers (MDI)
• Conduct Chest Physiotherapy (CPT)
• Manage emergency ventilation devices in use:
• Philips EV300
• Philips Trilogy 202
• High Flow Delivery Devices
• Air Vo Units
