Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

General Information

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our Respiratory Services team at a facility located in Asheville, NC. This role involves working in a dynamic environment that caters to both adult and pediatric patients.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 854
• Number of Staff: 120
• Day Shift Staff: 15-20 RRTs for Adult service lines; 3-4 RRTs for NICU/Peds service lines
• Night Shift Staff: 12-16 RRTs for Adult service lines; 3-4 RRTs for NICU/Peds service lines
• Patient Ratios: 10 – 25
• Type of Equipment: GE R860 Adult vents, Draeger Infant/Peds vents, Newport HT70 transport vent, V60 Non-invasive device, Vapotherm and Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices.
• EMR: Cerner

Qualifications

• Required Skills:
  • North Carolina Respiratory License
  • RRT – Registered Respiratory Therapist
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
• Preferred Skills:
  • NRP Certification

Procedures and Responsibilities

The Registered Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for a variety of therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, ensuring quality patient care in collaboration with the healthcare team. Specific procedures will be discussed during the interview process.

• Floating Areas: All Critical Care units and floors
• Weekend Requirements: Varying weekends (at least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)
