Respiratory Therapist Tech

Shift Information

Night Shift (1830 to 0700 am), Three twelve-hour shifts weekly (36 hours), No guarantee of hours.

Minimum Years of Experience

2.0 years

Certifications/Requirements

• General Certifications: ACLS, BLS/BCLS, PALS
• Respiratory Certifications: RRT preferred

Job Description

Candidate must possess a valid Hawaii License prior to the start of the assignment. Proof of flu vaccination or an approved application for medical or religious exception is required before the contract start date. The flu vaccination can be administered during the employee health clearance appointment.

General Duties

• Provide continuous airway management.
• Ventilator and non-invasive ventilator management and support.
• Consult with physicians and perform CPR.
• Administer all aspects of respiratory care.

Equipment Utilized

• Computerized charting
• Pyxis medication management
• PB 980, PB 840 Ventilators
• V60
• Para Pac Transport Vent

Required Skills

Must be capable of caring for patients across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations.

Additional Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience is required.
• No first assignments.
• State of Hawaii Respiratory Therapy License is mandatory.
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications are required.
• NRP is preferred.
