Surgical Technologist

Job Description

The Surgical Technologist performs a variety of duties to assist the circulator and surgeon in the care of the surgical patient. This role is essential for maintaining a safe and sterile environment for patients at all times under the guidance of qualified operating room personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team during procedures by preparing and maintaining the sterile field.
• Ensure that all surgical instruments and equipment are sterilized and ready for use.
• Support the circulator and surgeon in managing patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Monitor the patient’s condition during surgery and respond to any changes as directed.
• Adhere to all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and healthcare policies.

Shift Information

• 1.0 FTE Days – options for 8-hour or 10-hour shifts available.
• Holiday coverage is required.

Qualifications

• Less than 1 year of experience in a surgical setting is acceptable.

On-Call Requirements

This position includes an on-call component, with once weekly weeknight call and weekend call every 5th weekend.
