General Information

• Unit Name: Emergency Department
• Unit Size: 101 Beds
• Patient Ratios: 4:1 (medical), up to 7:1 on behavioral holds
• Documentation System: Cerner
• Certifications Required:
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • PALS
  • TNCC
  • CPI
  • NIHSS
  • ENPC (within 90 days of hire)
• Staffing Description:
  • Technicians available for support in cardiac monitoring and internal processing areas.
  • Unit clerks are present for both day and night shifts.

Scheduling Requirements

Candidate must be willing to work every other weekend. Scheduling will be according to the needs of the department.

Patient Experience and Care Standards

Employee will be expected to uphold high standards of patient experience by practicing respectful behavior and ensuring communication throughout patient visits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level II trauma center or a comprehensive stroke center with high volume (>100,000 visits per year).
• At least 1 year of experience as an EMT or similar role.
• Flexibility to work in all areas of the emergency department.
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to provide coaching and feedback in real-time.
