Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CVOR Surgical Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the CVOR environment and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

General Information

• Unit Specifics:
  • Scrub Color(s): Hospital will provide scrubs
  • Number of Operating Rooms: 6
  • Patient Ratios: 1 scrub and 1 circulator per case, with pump cases requiring a first assist/Heart Holder
• Type of Equipment: Stryker
• Documentation System: Cerner
• Floating Policy: Infrequent floating as needed

Responsibilities

The CVOR Surgical Technologist will be responsible for the following:

• Assisting in various surgical procedures, including but not limited to:
  • Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
  • Valve Replacement
  • Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) Insertions
  • Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
  • Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS)
  • Lobectomy
  • Pacemaker/AICD Insertions
  • Septal Myectomy
  • Ross Procedure
  • Endoscopic Variceal Ligation (EVH)
  • Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP) Insertions
  • Femoral Cannulation
  • Circulatory Arrest

Qualifications

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is mandatory
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Extensive CVOR experience with at least 2 travel assignments completed
• First Assist experience preferred, but not required
