Location: Live Oak, TX

Unit Type: Medicine 3

General Information

This unit consists of 5 operating rooms and currently has a staffing level that includes:

• 5 Full-Time Registered Nurses (RNs), including a Manager and Boardrunner
• 2 Part-Time RNs (one on FMLA)
• 3 PRN RNs (with 4 open requisitions for Full-Time Nurses)
• 12 Surgical Technicians

Typical patient ratios are 1:1 and the unit utilizes basic OR equipment including cautery, video monitors, and arthroscopy equipment. The electronic medical record system employed is Meditech.

Hiring Profile

Required Skills

• OR circulator experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to fulfill rotating call (minimum of one night a week and one weekend every five weeks)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in specialties such as orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, robotics, urology, vascular, cardiovascular, neuro, thoracic
