Psychiatric Patient Care Provider

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated team player to provide direct care and clinical services to in-patient psychiatric patients. This role involves working individually with patients and includes a range of responsibilities aimed at supporting their daily living, social, and psychiatric rehabilitation needs as directed by a Registered Nurse (RN).

Responsibilities

• Engage with patients effectively to ensure they have access to required services.
• Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to the RN.
• Participate in clinical rounds and facilitate group therapy sessions as needed.
• Support patients in daily living activities and rehabilitation processes.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a related field.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Psychology or Sociology is required.

Schedule

This position is based on a 48-hour work week with rotating shifts, including holidays and weekends, as needed to meet unit demands.
