Job Description:
Responsible for assisting with gross descriptions and dissection of surgical tissues; submits specimens for laboratory testing; summarizes patients’ medical history.
Responsibilities:
- Performs procedures within the specialty of the supervising physician
- Provides assistance with the gross description and dissection of surgical tissues
- Submits specimens for histological and other laboratory testing
- Summarizes patients’ medical history
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Health Science or Pathology
- ASCP Certification
- 1 year of technical experience in a healthcare setting
- Intermittent hand manipulation required
- Intermittent lifting and carrying of 50 lbs
